Author’s note
I certainly am not the first sailor to get a,”Dear John” letter. In an attempt to re-impress my former Paramour I wrote a story where a character based on her was the heroine; in a tale with a sci-fi ending. In 2006 I knew that she would be in one place for four months. I wrote the book, got it published and sent to her in 3 months. Unfortunately, for me, she got out a month early.
